Does anyone know whether Norton Ghost 5.1d will work on ME. I had a 2000 Norton Symantec System Works Pro and said what the heck. I installed same and made an image and it worked fine.
Also I have another problem, sorry for so many.
Don't know how some computer dealers get their ideas, but I have 2 partitions, of course the 1st is the c which is 37,000 some odd megabytes, and d for system restore is about 2700 some odd megabytes.
I think it is crazy to just make two, well, there goes my problem. I want to totally use recover cds Compaq as I have done a zillion times before with no problems in dos mode and bla bla bla.
Once I have a fresh system, no bugs want to image, but have only the 2 partitions and I can't image c to c as it is my boot!!!!!!!! I made a successful image of d to c.
This is why I want to use Partition Magic to resize. But do you have to continue using PM once u have used it or can u go back to FDISK.
When I reboot with floppy will it give me cd burner support, I have a Phillips burner and have some system boot such as cd rom and all on another disc as advised by the Radified Guide to Ghost site.
I want to eventually take ME off, once I have a good image of drive and put 98 on as everything is compatible with this in my system, all of my peripherals, Win XP will not support my TV tuner card WinTV unfortunately.
Want to put 98SE on have full disc, do a format, repartition after I get the drivers I need first.
Also if I wanted to go XP in the future, is it possible to obtain drivers from Hauppauge for my Wintv card that would support XP as the HCL list says no!!!!!
Thanks!!!!!!!!!

I want to use partition magic to resize and repartition my hard drive in order to make an image of c. But from what I am reading they are not compatible, I may be stuck with imaging to disk c and formating from there.
Thanks!!!!!!!

Boy I am doing good, its late, I want to resize my hard drive as I have one big partition and on very tiny one, I can image d but not c.
I would rather image to hard drive first then burn and go through steps to make bootable. But with current partition amounts and sizes, can't do same for c.
Is partition magic compatible to use with Norton Ghost, I've read they are not, but I want to use gost over partition magic even on having to reformat as the image integrity I hear is excellent over all with fdisk and Gost.
Thanks!!!!!!

hello
i use both partion magic and ghost no problems at all
ghost makes copys partion magic make partions so no conflicts.
unless your useing partion magic drive image
ghost cant open a pmdi file and pmdi cant open ghost but you can still use both for there own files
have a nice day

Thanx, I wandered as it seems Partition Magic would be much easier to use than FDISK.
But had another question, I heard after using Partition Magic on a hard drive, u can no longe use Fdisk afterwards.
Any truth to this.
Thanx.
