Hi I am using a Dell laptop 600 mhz 128 ram with Windows ME.This is strictly a boat computer and is mainly running a navigation software by Nobeltec and has nothing working in the background.I was having a problem with Nobeltec so I brought the laptop home and hooked it to internet and updated to latest Nobeltec upgrade.I decided to do a windows update as well and between doing both updates I now have two more problems. The first is now when ME boots up I get a box that says...Enter your network password for Microsoft networking username- password-.....This was not happening before updates. The second problem is now when I close down Nobeltec program I get a box that says....Nobeltec has caused an error in Kernal 32.dll Nobeltec will now close...I called Nobeltec about this and they say its a windows problem. He did say I could reload Nobeltec software but I only get 3 installations on this expensive software and would like to make this option a last resort sort of thing.Any suggestions would be great.Thanx everyone!

Start - Settings - Control Panel - Network, and under "Primary Network Logon", change "Client for Microsoft Networks" to "Mircosoft Family Logon" or "Windows Logon". Click OK and reboot. If you get the password option again, leave everything blank and click OK.
As you have been connected to the internet, there is a good chance you picked up Adware/Spyware or even a virus in the process causing the second error. Try SpyBot_S&D first.
