No Start-up/Run

Okay, I was running a search for spyware/adware on my computer, and removed the threats. The computer brought up a box saying access was denied to some of the adware, and it would removed upon the next start up. so i restart, and now explorer will not load, it says there is a registry error. normally, i would run scanreg to see if i could fix this problem, because i already tried running in safemode and still, nothing. however, i cannot pull up the run dialog box. (windows icon + R) doesn't work. Anyone know a way i can get explorer to run or to open the run box without having to restore to factory settings and losing all my saved files?? thanks, LostSlayer

LostSlayer, SWAG, not sure, see if you can boot up in safe mode and restore to a valid date. Chances are that all your nasties will be back too. My guess is that you manually removed the percieved threats and got a wrong one. Use an anti-spyware proggy like Ad-Aware or Spybot Search and Destroy to get rid of JUST nasties. HTH. Ed in Texas.

how about starting with a boot floppy and running scanreg from there
