My computer has no sound at all, though it says I have SoundMax Integrated Digital Audio installed in the device manager, I can't set it as the preffered Audio Playback Device in the sounds/multimedia control panel. I've already tried reinstalling drivers with the disc, and removing it from device manager and restarting, but I still can't get any sound. Anyone know what I can do to fix this? Thanks.

Had it been working & then just quit? If so, did you install anything new that may have caused a conflict?
Try going to safe mode, then removing Sound entries from device manager...if you find any duplicates, remove them all (example: if gameport is listed twice, remove both). Also while you're there, check Control Panel Add/Remove for any sound related entries & remove them too. Reboot & let Windows sort it out.
