Hi! I had a problem when i switched on my computer a few weeks ago. But my problem is that I have no sound and the compuer can only use 16 colors. I also had no mouse pointer but I got it back by not selecting system.ini in msconfig. My grafic card is NVIDIA GeForce2 MX200. I have Windows ME. I've also noticed that java doesn't work.

In the control panel under sound it says that there's a problem with the sound and it can be fixed in the control panel under system. But the problem is that nothing happens when i select system. I had this error message every time I switched on my computer that said something about "msgsrv32". I read somewhere that it could be fixed if I types msgsrv32 in run. And it did, the sound and java came back. But next time I switched on the computer the error message didn't appear and it didn't help to type it in run and the sound anda java was gone again.

With the grafic I can change the colors but when the computer needs to reboot it's back to the way it was before with only 16 colors.

Some help, please!!!

I assume that grafic is actually your video driver (graphic), if so, you need to download and reinstall the drivers for your video card.

Also, reinstall your audio drivers and reinstall.

Life is more painless for those who are brainless.

Format it and reinstall. Make sure you have all of the appropriate drivers and install your motherboard drivers FIRST after the O/S.

Can you run online scans for viruses and other malware?

Online malware scanners

Might give us some clues anyway.
