I have windows ME, and i turn on my computer, and then it gives the scanning disk for errors thing. It will freeze every time before that finishes. So when i hit cancel, then instead of the login thing with the username and password coming up, nothing appears. Please help me, im getting ready to start college, and i need it pretty badly. Thank you

nathan Ham, sounds to me like you have an error that needs to be fixed. Try it in safe mode. Sometimes that works when nothing else will. Don't forget to turn off any screensaver you may have as scandisk doesn't like ANY disk activity while it runs. HTH. Ed in Texas.
