I just reinstalled Windows. But before, when I clicked on an image file, the little info bar on the left of the folder (where it says the modified date and stuff) had a small image preview. Now it's gone.

One possibility is: when in the folder, go to extra > mapoptions and choose view webcontent instead of classical.

Open a folder..Tools/folder options/under general tab/under web view header....."enable web content in folders" should be selected. If not hit it and then ok. you should now see the preview. If not i dont know why but heres Another option : Open a folder/view/customize this folder: Click next to begin. under "what would we like to do?" select the "Customize" radio button and check the "choose or edit an html template for this folder" Select "image preview" click next. click finish. Now you will have an image preview window permanantly open in the bottom right corner to display any available previews. I only use this for folders containing images and html.
