I have a Advent5480 DVD Model number 340s2 and I can not boot into windows ME or install any OS's. What should i do. Message appears and informs that I don't have a hard disk but that can't be true. I need help. Please if any one can help please email me @ stanagec@oratory.co.uk

move the dvd to the other ide socket as a slave or master,whichever one it prefers. some machines can be touchy about what drive goes where.

Buy A New Laptop its stuffed i work for Advent and have had this problem the motherboard needed to be replaced. It was to expensive. Buy i new one
