no devices capable of burning disks

i cannot copy any music in media player or for that matter copy any thing to disk. i can only copy to floppy drive. is it possible some one took the hardware cd drive off. thanks for any info. The media player says no devices capable of burning disks
the labels on comp say it will copy music.
other than this the computer runs fine

linda49, SWAG, turn your machine off and restart. That'll give Windows a chance to detect your hardware.

All of the 6735 HP Pavilion Series came with CD-rom capabilities only.
