Comment:

i have an i series ibm laptop.the login screen after booting comes in 800*600 form and boots into greater resolution only in my account.in rest of the accounts, including the default one,the screen remains 800*600 even though i tried many a times to change the screen resolution.booting into safemode is also not possible'coz even though i keep "shift" key pressed during the booting time, the booting menu doesnot crop up.i even tried booting into safemode with f5 and f8 but no luck.please advice on the remedial action to be taken.
