new windows not showing properly

when i get a new window to appear, the only thing that shows is the top part of it showing what site im at and the 3 buttons at the right where u can minimize, restore or close, the rest of the new screen i have to press maximize to get the whole screen to appear, how can i stop this, it wasnt doing it yesterday...

hello
two things you can try,with window maximized
hold ctrl key down and click the x to close window.
the other one is to maximize window and with window left open and maxed reboot.
there are most likely other ideas any one?

Isn`t that weird, same thing happened to me yesterday as well. Last time it happened was about 2 years ago. Luckily I remembered what to do cause it`s annoying.
What I do is resize the window by dragging it across and down and then closing down with X
