HI
Yesterday a new spyware sneaked into my system -despite using Norton Antivirus and ZoneAlarmPro. The spyware name: trickle_4010.exe.As far as I know this is a spyware and this is the newest version. I tryed to remove by adaware v.6. The adaware removed 2 registry items(Gator and trickle) but did nothing with the trickle_4010.exe, which is located in the C:\Window\Temp folder.
Tryed few method to remove manually in vain.
Any help will be appreciated!
Thanks,

ZA nor Norton are any protection against ad or spy ware.
I would try removing it from DOS mode or if it is a virus try another AV program as not all viruses can be cleaned by all AV programs.
Try one that runs from DOS like the rescue disks from PC cillin.

You should also try SpyBot, it sometimes finds and repairs things that Adaware misses/ You can get it at wilders.org, webattack or cnet downloads.

jimi_1 and the kid and capt: thanks a thoussand times. The SpyBoot was the solution!!!!
thanks again:

I had the same problem a couple of days ago on my computer; this wacky spyware Trickle_4010.exe. It came there 24.5.03. First I did't regocnize that but then a problem occurred; WinMe didn't start properly, never and I always had to boot it again.
The reason why You can't waste the program is, that Trickle runs by it self at the time when you run computer. So if you want to waste it, simply open task manager and end it's task. Then it can be deleted, manually. I suppose it doesn't need any special programs to work this spyware out of PC.
P.S. If there is something else that I didn't notice with this program, please tell me too..
