new video card wont work

i got a gforce verto FX 5200 agp and when i click on my icon to play GTA vice city or many other games the screen goes black for a few seconds then it returns me to my desktop what should i do

What you describe is typical of the games designed to work with DirectX and OpenGl(from Scitech Software).Good luck.

Hi. Looks like the game is compatible with a certain version of directx. You'll want to make sure both your directx and video card drivers are up-to-date and compatible with that game...also check out the game's website for any new patches.
