Firebird 0.7 is now Firefox 0.8 ...and it's out.

Hate the new name.

Will the installer allow me to direct the installation to a folder of my choice?

If not, probably hang on to Firebird 0.7, hardly ever use it anyway; Mozilla 1.6 is awesome!

I hate the name too.

Firebird = Firefox
Thunderbird = Thunderfox (narrr), Thunderfart (maybe), Thunderpants (definetly maybe)

Anyway, I digress: Mozilla Firefox - Brand Name FAQ

And yes, you can direct the installation to a folder of your choice.

One note though, None of the 0.7 themes are gonna work with Foxyfire 0.8 properly till they've all been updated and I noticed an immediate bug if you do (I noticed several actually, pretty minor, but still there). And the servers are being absolutely slammed right now so I don't know how many extensions are gonna work either. Probably not many till they've been updated. Have to wait and see on that one.

Feels more solid than 0.7 but I can't tweak the rendering speed or anything useful yet as all the servers are molten pools and I deleted everything from 0.7. I wanted a clean start. Silly me 8 )

But no doubt the speed is still gonna be there.
