new disk copy, booting in safe mode

I just did a disk copy to a new hd but the os keep booting up in safe mode stating the registry has a config problem and run scanreg... done that... runs ok in normal mode but cant get that normalmode, safe mode, logging mode screen to keep comming up.

When you say you did a disk copy, how did you do it? You can only achieve this correctly using cloning software such as Norton Ghost or DriveImage.

hello the problem might allso be that you left the old hard drive still connected and both hardrives tried to boot there by corrupting the registry. remove old hardrive rom computer. and try the things in this link to fix corrupted registry. m.e wont start http://computing.net/windowsme/wwwboard/forum/30687.html
