new avg wont install

hi, after downloading the new version of avg 7 i restarted my computer but just as it was installing in stopped and asked me to reinstall version 6 ????? any help would be great cheers

Mind if I just ignore #1? I don't know the answer and realise that AVG7 should simply load on top of AVG6. In view of your problem tho I would suggest (if it is still possible) to try to uninstall AVG6 first, reboot then install your download of AVG7. If you have any registry cleaners then run them before you do the new AVG7 install. Derek.W
