This isn't exactly pertinent to the WinME board, but perhaps it will enlighten someone out there. Here's the story: Some time back when I was having problems with my ISP, I registered for the netzero free isp service. I never did download the software because my ISP problem was resolved.

Well, just a little while ago, I tried to go to MSN and what do I get but redirected to netzero saying I need to download their update. I tried to access my account there, but couldn't remember my password. I could have had my password emailed to me, but I couldn't access Hotmail either, it kept going to the netzero site. So I was going to send an email to their tech support, well, you can't send an email unless you are a paying customer. But you can call their 24 hour tech support for $1.95/minute. So I was getting real ticked by then. It would not let me go to any MSN site, no matter what! That was apparently because I had given my email address at hotmail when I registered, so they figured they could get me there. Thank goodness, I had an idea to delete the cookie from netzero, and that solved the problem. Does that stink, or what?!?

Lessons to be learned - don't use netzero, unless you are desparate for an ISP and can't afford one, and always write down your passwords in a place where you can find them!
