Greetings... Can anybody offer suggestions?

Computer 2: ("XP") - fast computer, windows XP, I connected my DSL modem to a SMC "Barricade" Router and then patched to the ethernet card to the router

Computer 1: ("ME") - slow computer, windows ME, I patched from ethernet card to the router.

XP - was plug and play, everything worked, and sharing drive on the network was normal sharing procedures and worked.

ME - shared internet connection was plug and play, and I can see the XP computer and access everything ..

PROBLEM: I can't see ME computer from the XP and want to

MY QUESTIONS:
(1) How can I make the ME computer share the c-drive etc and access this from my XP computer? I have all the networking files needed on ME installed... I also have about 8 gigs of mp3's and 2 gig of wmv's and SIMS I want to access on faster XP computer...
(2) or- alternatively - is it possible to actually install USB card on slow ME computer and connect to (factory installed) USB ports on fast XP computer.. "Laplink" Style" ?? i.e. at see website at http://rainyc.com/usb.html .. will this just be laplink (copy files only) or, will it create a network in USB style fashion?

Frustrated on ME computer.

instruction

. go to network setting in control panel
. open network...
. click file and print sharing
....

note you have to do this on both computer just to make sure everyting's work fine

good luck

Thanks for response..

But - both boxes are ticked to suppose to allow me to file share and printer share ...

In the network configurations, I have pretty much all the needed client, protocols and service ... with one note..

I also have both the protocol/netbeui for my "Network telesystems PPPoe Adapter (NTSP3)" ... >> re: dsl ??? although XP is supposed to have assumed the default computer for the DSL connection on the router... could this be the problem i wonder?

IT's WORKING NOW!

It was the PPPoe protocol and netbeui in the network configuration ... once I deleted these two, ME allowed me to share the drives ... plus, as PPPoe is still on XP, i still am sharing internet access..

just wanted to let you all know - so, you don't have to respond ...

Thanks for help and taking time to read this.
HART.
