Subject: netgear inet gateway + WinMe network places
Comment:

I have a cable modem connected to a 4 port netgear internet gateway(rt314) to provide internet access to 2 pc's running win me. inet works fine for both. I tried to "browse network" in network places and it said I coulnd't connect. I didn't try the wizard thing because I heard it doesn't work correctly. I would appreciate a step by step process to enable file and printer sharing between the two computers. I tried a search for this but I was confused. Also, can i share with my linux computer running redhat 7.0 that is also connected to the netgear?

install netbeui. use it for file and printer sharing and uncheck all bindings to tcp/ip.
