Nero, won't burn...

Hello, I have Nero 5 (version 5.5.7.8 OEM) and never had problems with it, until my computer needed fixing. Since it came back Nero doesn't work. I get messages like: Recorder function not supported, CD/RW could not perform start of disk at once and also: source and destination drive are connected to same IDE bus... Any suggestions? Much obliged.

I had exactly the same kind of problem. Nero wouldnt start burning and constantly played me around with complaints...mind you, I was also using an OEM version NOT made for my peripherals specifically. That'll teach me to try and obtain me mates copy...so, i got my own and it works splendidly. I'm not saying you also 'obtained' your version but if it happened to me....
A clean install should also solve your problems if all else fails...or is that advice just a little too obvious!!!

i had this problem after reinstalling windows. i unchecked dma in the cd rom settings in device manager and nero now works perfectly.dont know if it will work for you, but its worth a try.
