I got a LiteON dvd drive yesterday, installled it with the nero suite software that comes with it, burnt a couple of cd's to test/backup stuff; all seemed pretty fine...
Then I read the manual that comes with nero & they recommend you update ASAP, so I thought fair enough and spent 1-2hrs downloading the newest version.
The cheeky gits then place a link for premium version on desktop/start menu (without asking me)and the 'new' version of nero has less options and a seriously ugly gui. - it's like having XP and 'upgrading' to 3.x
What's all that about then? Anyone had problems with version 632_26?... I might be wrong about the version no. as I uninstalled it all and can't find out the no. without reinstalling. :p
I see by looking thru old posts alot of people use this with problems.

I use Nero Express that came with a new LiteOn CDRW drive without problems. The only way I could get a version number was by right clicking nero.exe > properties > version tab, this is what it says:
6.3.1.26

*embaressed*
Same version here leroi, try 'updating' to the new version & you'll see what I mean! There's about 90mb plus to download BTW. Have y0u had any problems with it??

You can click on the 'Nero ProductCenter' (the "flame" icon) to see your various versions.
Running 6.6.0.13 under 98SE - 'nary a problem
Resist the temptation to close your request for help with semantically-null questions like “Can anyone help me?”
