Subject: need IFSHLP.SYS file for MEOS: MECPU/Ram: Pentium III |
Comment: Computer worked fine this morning, tonight I'm getting, "The IFSHLP.SYS driver is missing or corrupted" and the computer won't proceed. Does anyone have a IFSHLP.SIS file they can send me? Or does anyone know if that will work if a floppy is inserted with just the IFSHLP.SYS file on it? I've checked the Microsoft help site, not superhelpful so no need to post it. I unfortunately do not have an ME boot disk on me.

Reply: (edit)I had similar problems with a neighbors pc and was able to get this file and vmm.vxd from the .cab files. I am having a new problem now. I restart windows ME and it keeps looping back to the screen that asks if you want to start in Normal, Safe Mode etc. Any idea what's causing this?
