Go to Start/Run, type in msconfig and then click ok (This is with Win ME)Go to the Start Up tab and browse this list. Next to each entry and the the right is Loaded From and Command. The Command line will tell you the location where the entry is being loaded from but sometimes not much help. You can try to located the partic program using this and see if their is an option within to prevent it from being loaded. You can also uncheck the item which at this time, I've been told this just boots up as normal but in trouble shooting mode. In other words, it should boot up normal if what you have deselected is not causing a conflict. If so, simply go back and reselect it. You save tons of system resources by not having things load that are not needed and to the best of my knowledge, this will not affect anything as I have done this myself and I went from a fresh start up of 80% system resources to 91%. If anyone has any ideas on how to remove these items permanently so you don't have to use the msconfig, I would like to know. :-)
