i have just used a bootdisk and now i have the c prompt. all i need to do now is to have my operating system cd work and intall this. can neone tell me what to put at the c prompt? thanks, msg

In order to access the CD, the boot will need to load the CD drivers.
Do this:
copy config.sys con [enter]
If the file is not found, you will need to create it or [much easier] copy it from the boot floppy.

If you are trying to load a windows CD, boot with start up disk,& select option 1 "Start computer with CD-ROM support". At the A or c prompt type x: (where x = your CD-ROM letter) At the CD-ROM prompt type "Setup" without quotes.This should start loading the CD for windows loading. Russ
