I HAVE A 2ND HAND LAPTOP FROM SAGERNOTEBOOKS.MODE LNP335O PENTIM 3 500 MEGAHERTZ WITH DVD-ROM DRIVE MY PROBLEM IS: I CAN NOT RUN ANY CD IT WILL PLAY A DVD MOVIE BUT WILL NOT READ ANY SOFTWARE. WHAT I WAS DOING WHEN IT WENT BAD ON ME: I WAS USE THE LAPTOP OFF OF THE BATTERY USEING WORKS SUITE2000 WHEN THE BATTERY DIED ON ME. AFTER I TRUNED IT ON USEING THE AC OUTLET I FOUND THAT MY CD SOFTWARE WOULD NOT WORK. ANY OF THEM. WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO GET THINGS TO WORK?
I have a toshiba dvd-rom sd-m1212 my problem is that it will not play newer dvds. IT will play older one from 98 down ,but nothing after. I thing it might be the driver but I am not sure.
