I am trying to install NAV2004 and get error message 3030,26 after rebooting. The Next button is greyed out when trying to activate the product code and it does not ask for product key during installation, only afterwards. If you uninstall NAV2004, in LSinstall log in temp directory there is a line in the file It's me :-). Is this a virus? If so what is it and why hasn't any online virus scanners spotted it. I have reformatted the machine and still get the same problem. I have downgraded to Nav2002 and done the updates, no problem at all and no viruses reported on the scan. Any ideas? I have tried Symantec Support who are no help at all!

Gary

Hi Jen,

Yep I have tried those links. On the second link I can accept the licence agreement but then it just wizzes on to complete installation, bypassing the entering of the product key. Afterwards after rebooting you get the error 3030,26 and then can continue to try product activation but when you get to enter the product key it is greyed out and prevents you from going any further.
Also why have I got "It's me :-)" in the LSInstall log when I uninstall NAV2004? Is this standard or is it a virus?

Hi Dave,

Yep already tried that immediately after reformatting the machine and have used the NAV removal tool too. Still no luck.

I haven't installed this version, but when you hit the up arrow and then the tab tab and Enter, what are you "Entering?" LOL

You could abandon Norton/Symantec junk completely and get something a little more stable.

AVG is free and works just fine. It also has all the same features.
