I just bought Myst Masterpiece Edition and have installed several times. It starts to open, gets to a screen with a dark gray rectangle on a lighter gray background, lighter gray in the middle as well, like a picture frame. Then I see my desktop, and no activity from anything. Will this game run in ME? Ctrl+Alt+Del shows nothing open except Explorer, Systray, and 3cmlnkw (modem). The CD drive (Sony CD-R) won't open, but isn't active. If I go to My Computer and click on CD drive and eject, I get a bluescreen error message that there has been a request to eject disc from drive, push enter to eject. Do so, and it does eject. Tried 24 bit color and 32. Readme says 24 minimum. Set display to 640X480, still nothing. I have a Voodoo 3 and a Voodoo 2 in series, SB AWE32 soundcard, 700 and some MB RAM.

how do the resources look, turn off any screen savers, Do Scandisk and defrag, use Google to find ADAWARE and Spybot run them both to rid your machine of parasites,clean out the Temp, temporary internet and cookies folders, If these fail to help then I suspect your video card(s) may not be up to doing the job.
