Ineed help my computer wont start i tried reeboyting then it says something about aol and it told me abort retry or failed i tried all of them and nothing happens when i pressed aboort it told me to restart and take out disk 2 of the recovery so i did and now my computer says something like cant reconize cdrom(it's a black screen) drive and it turns off by it self

Have you tried safemode?
Restart the computer.
Just after the POST diagnostics and memory count, start tapping the F8 key on the Startup Menu, choose Safe Mode.

Please try to give "exact" error messages where possible. Something about/like don't mean much.

no it was while the second system recovery was on and it was while extracting or infalting an aol file

Boot the system to a Windows startup disk. Type c:\windows\command\scanreg /restore and press Enter. The Microsoft Registry Checker screen appears. Select a date before the problem started, using the Up or Down arrow keys and press Enter. " The You have Restored a Good Registry window appears ". Remove the floppy disk and restart the system.
You'll need a Windows ME boot disk.
To use, download the .exe file and double click on the downloaded file. This will write the appropriate files to a diskette.
