I just finished installation Win ME. Bit confused, when right click "My Network Places" there is empty spaces under: The following network components are installed.
When I add protocol, service, client and reboot same again: empty????
Why? WHO KNOWS???

I misread your problem... I think.

Are you saying that Network Properties is empty?

If that is the case, in order to add TCP/IP, a client or anything else, Windows must have something to bind to (modem, NIC, dial up adapter).

Go into device manager. Make sure your Modem or NIC are installed correctly. Once they are, you should have TCP/IP and Client for Microsoft networks in your Network control panel. These are install by default as soon as you get your modem or NIC working correctly.
