...yet NetBeui connectivity between my Me computer and others on my LAN (all running SE) works fine. I am able to transfer files to and from the Me computer but none of the other systems on the LAN show in My Network Places. Yes, I ran the silly wizard. Yes, all systems are on the same workgroup. Any thoughts? It's not the end of the world but it is an annoyance.

Try searching for the computers you want to see. Sometimes it finds them stright off, but still doesn't show them. I've had the same problem. ME doesn't like you to use any other workgroup name other than Mshome( now there's a surprise!). I did ditch the Netbeui though, just seemed to confuse matters.

later...

Same thing here use search to access the computers directly that don't show up. After that they often show up under the home network aggregate icon. The Os vendor probably sees this as an advanced feature that we will eventually warm up to.

i know this is a kind of silly answer...but... when after you double click on my network places and i doesn't show you anything... look off to the left hand side of the screen... does it say something like "click here to view items in this folder"... or after double clicking, does is say in the bottom left-hand corner "(number) items selected"?

ME has a terrible habit of not actually showing you what you just clicked on. you must click again in order to see everything. like the control panel only showing like 9 items, but you can click a link off to the left saying "show me all the items".

Sometimes you will not see Win95/98/ME computers in the Network Places untill you have at least one share on everyone of them...

Please let me know if it helped.
