My modem does not work on WIN ME

my computer recognises my modem but does not work due to improper drivers. i have windows me o.s. please help

This would be a lot easier to do if you told us what modem, model number you are using.

under the device manager where the modem is at double click it then choose i have drivers or simular to that, it will then show a list choose the generic one, say its a 56k i bet, then choose that speed and load that me driver, it should work i had the same problem with a old 33k modem. me couldnt find the drivers so i just selected the generic one from the me driver list and walla! it worked.

oh as you double click the modem you will see drive tab click it then you will see "driver details" click that and then a list will be there.
