My harddisk is getting full

June 3, 2005 at 22:59:44
Specs: Windows Me, P2-350/128

The last time I saw, I have about half empty space in my harddisk where I put my system on. After few days I got a message told that my harddisk is full. I have no idea what happened because I did not install anything; I separate system (WinMe) from program files into different partition. I set the same way to my other PC and there is no problem with it, even faster than we install program files in the same partition where the OS is on. How to fix this error? I think there is something filling my harddisk and I just do not know that.

Thank you for all your kindness

Do you have System Restore enabled? Have you searched your drive for extremely large files? Are you running a good anti-spyware program?

Have you checked your disk fragmentation? You could try defragging the HD and see if it makes a difference.

I use spyware and adware from Lavasoft (regularly updated). I maintain my system and managing files with Symantec Norton SystemWork 2005 (regulary updated) periodically. But it seems nothing chaneged, I still got a 'low resources and low memory' message. Then I decided to reformat my system disk (C:\), after several it gets full again, as it happened before. I think this is all about capacity, I reformat my whole disk with increase capacity for the system disk and it seems okay so far.

Thanks for your reference, friends. I appreciate that a lot. I hope I could help others someday :)

Thank you for all your kindness
