I recently installed an agp graphics card. I physically installed the card, restarted the computer, was prompted for drivers, pointed to the cd-rom the card shipped with and i was done.
It all depends on the card & motherboard you have i guess. Did your card come with instructions? I purchased mine new but it only came with a drivers disk. Check the products website for installation instructions.

hello if you had on board graphics you must disable them in bios and most likely a jumper on mobo d/l manual from mobo makers sight.
