my d: drive is what readas cds for me and i cant read them it wont show or read them can soem one plz help i just formatted and reinstalled me

Hi Naru.

Start

Settings

Control Panel

Add New Hardware

Follow the wizard and let Windows find the drive.

If Windows doesn't find the drive then you will need the driver for the CD drive.

If you don't have a disk, then look on the internet for your CD drives drivers, download and install them. (You have to know the name and model number of your CD.)

if linda,s help dont work try looking in control panel see any problems? red x,s yellow ! or? marks? if no try removeing cd drive from device manager and reboot.
if this dont work try a registry search for NOIDE delete any found.
next if none of these work put a cd in driveand put m.e boot disk in drive and at the a:dir d: /p click enter any thing show
or try a: dir e: /p click enter
try a: dir c: /p
this should show the contents of c: drive. just to make sure its proper sysntax not used dos in a while.
if nothing shows up n cd in drive from dos than its time to clean the laser lens.
allso is this a resently instald drive?
