ok when i start my computer it says something about a cdrom and then goes off by itself i tried safe mode and it still turns off by itself, when i insert the hp recovery disk it says fail,abort,retry and then it keeps saying the same things when i press retry please help i can even get to the windows me screen

gtx95076, SWAG, take a look at your mail settings and be sure you don't have it set to hang up after checking mail. Perhaps it tries and can't, so it does what it thinks is the next best thing?
