My Toshiba Satelitte 2805-S401 (laptop) has taken on the hobby (after about 5-10 minutes of being on) of being posessed. It will randomly act as if the "Ctrl" key is being pressed while I type, thus opening unwanted things. At other times, the space bar will randomly insert a selection of the following characters: 45rtgfbve
I have tried an external keyboard, which worked at first, but at present, does not eliminate the problems. At times, holding the "Ins" key will appear to help, but I think its my imagination.
Please help me!!!!

What do you have running in the background? goto start-->run and type msconfig. Post back what is in the startup tab. Also have you checked for viruses.

Yes, I have checked for viruses, etc. Here is my startup (I only listed what is checked):
MSMSGS,AIM,YahooPager,scanregistry,taskmonitor,loadpowerprofile,s3tray,xircwinmodem4,yamahs ds-xg launcher,tpwrtray,norton auto-protect,tfncky,tweak ui,avg_cc,*statemgr,avgserv9.exe

If you have already tried to format and install windows then I would suspect a hardware problem with the laptop.
