Sorry, I'm not very good with the computer lingo. ;-) My computer always has blue screen errors, freezes, restarts on it's own, and sometimes the screen will freeze and little green lines will appear at the upper part of the screen.(they take up maybe a centimeter from the top) What the heck is wrong with my computer? Thanks

It will do these things even after I put my computer back to the factory settings. So could it be a hardware problem?

hi - try updating all your drivers, make sure you've got the latest version of directX (8.1), use a utility program like system works, especially windoctor goes a long way towards fixing bsod errors, try an on-line virus scan from "housecall" by trend micro----has your comp always been like this or is it just since you installed something? post back if you're unsure how to track down the latest drivers for your setup. also you could try re-installing windows if you have the disk.
good luck--Kiwi

hi Sara
i agree with wawadave about incompatible programs--junk programs like comet cursor, gator, beeline, weatherbug, etc can cause mayhem.
Random crashes and restarting on its own can mean overheating--time to clean out case and check fans?

Well I printed out the "How to make Windows ME well" info, and I will try to follow all the directions on there. Sorry, but what drivers do I need to download? ( I know Direct X) How do I keep my computer updated with all this stuff? BUGS: Should I clean it or should I bring it in for cleaning? ( I live in a new house so there is a lot of construction dust) I don't know much, obviously, about this stuff so thanks for your help and right back! Thank you.
