What exactly did you delete?

Is your OS XP or ME?

Ubuntu Cheeta, Ubuntu !

It's not possible to "delete sound" - do you mean you've deleted a sound driver or altered your specific sound settings? Make sure you haven't accidentally muted the output. That'll prevent sound even when you turn your volume to full blast!

I would try running the built in Windows diagnostic tool to make sure that it's not something easily fixable. If you've already tried that, considering installing new drivers from the manufacturer's website for your sound card device. You can use programs to match your required drivers automatically if that's easier.

You have posted in the wrong forum. You need to ask Windows XP questions in the XP forum!

For Windows ME users, look at http://www.annoyances.org/exec/foru...

very long work following steps are more simple and those are without any downloading!!! STEPS:
1.right click on my computer
2.go to manage
3.go to services and applications
4.go to services
5.there is a long list of commands
6.choose windows audio.
7.right click on it
8.click on start
9. that's it
If it is not stopped and impossible to start so thats not my responsibility,,because sometimes it is already started and there is problem with your drivers or speakers.
