Comment: i install the winme after i format my win98. Everything works fine. I have one cd rom and another cd-w. Everything fine when i start but after i install the software for my cd-rw my default cd-rom letter is gone. Can anyone help me?

Reply: (edit)Does the 2 cd's show up in Device manager? (system in control panel) if so, you can manually set the drive letters in the properties on the deivces.

Reply: (edit)Interesting . . . My new Micron pc came loaded with Windows Me, & I was amazed to find now d, or e drive?!!! (dvd & cd rw) Took it in to Best Buy to look at it, & lo & behold, the drives were there. Took it home & they were there . . . ? Weird!
