sometimes third party auto-disk detect
can really screw up removeable drives.
look in the control panel for settings
such as creative.

Hello
I have the same computer. I got a cd-rw factory installed to. I( have had no problems with it at all. Try using memorex or Cicerco cds. Sony cd's also work with the burner. It may just be the type of cd-r your using.
