MSWORD can't access WIN.INI

Trying to install ms word 2000 on a computer we have home networked as the hose machine. ms word during setup gives an error that it can't find or change the win.ini file.

Go to start>>search.
Search for win.ini.
Right click on it and choose properites.

Take the checkmark out of Read-Only at the bottom of the properites sheet under attributes.
