hey i hope someone can help... when i try to update to msn 6 just before signing in it freezes but then one time it actualy signed in but wouldnt let me talk to neone it would just come up with an error...so after heaps of trying i tried redownloading msn 5 and now it is saying a newer version of msn 5 is stil on computer, remove it before u can install this one..so i go to add/remove and sure enough there it is msn messenger 5.0 but there is NOTHING like that on my computer everything to do with msn is gone and wen i click remove it comes up with an error saying MsnMsgs.Msi needs to be found to uninstall but the only MsnMsgs.Msi i have is the one i just downloaded to install msn 5 ya no wat i mean? someone please help i just want any version of msn bak!! thanksss

Hi. Before you reinstall msn messenger 5.0..try restoring your registry. Start the MSDos Prompt and type: scanreg /restore hit enter and yes to continue. Then select the latest registry backup to restore. Reboot.

I need help guys plz!!! I have this huge problem...I have windows ME and I had msn messenger 5.0 but then I erase the installer without unnstalling it then I went to the add remove programs from control panel and it still appears and when I tried to uninstall it from there it doesn't and it still appears there I can't even install msn messenger 6.0 because of that ( I mean because I havnt remove msn 5.0) and I then downloaded msn 4.6 and used it for a while but now I can't use it anymore because they are asking for a newer version I can't install neither 5.0 nor 6.0 and I'm totally frustated I really need the messegenr my question is: even tho I erase the installer and there's no data on msn 5.0 in my computer do I have another way to remove it from my computer and download it and install it again so I can instal msn 6.0???? plz I desperately need help!!!

a bit late but my problem with messenger 6.0 is that whenever i log in it says that an error has occured, etc. and then every time i get into hotmail the error message comes back. anyone had the same exprnc, or know the solution?

just to patch up, i mean when i log in to my computer, like as soon as i turn it on. not meaning when i try to open MSN Mess.
Summary: Can someone tell me if there is a problem with MSN messenger 6.1, I can be using it and my pc freezes, so i have to turn it off and re-start.. Thanks Jane ...
