I just installed Msn Messenger version 6.0 , the full version on Windows ME ,and every time that i sign in , right before i get signed in ,msn messenger freezes and says it isnt responding , how do i get it to work ? email me at jenkins_24_7_365@hotmail.com if you have a conclusion thanks
when it freezes try ctrl,alt,delete and see what all is running plus you can shut it off from there.
is your system free of spy ware? not sure d/l spybot search and destroy up date it run it.

Im talking about running MSN MESSENGER 6.0 , it has done the same thing on my computer as of other people with windows ME too............................................

I'm also a Win ME user, and do not experience any problems with msn messenger 6. Are you using the official beta, cause that one doesn't give any problems here whatsoever? Or the leaked one from a few weeks ago? If you're using the leaked one I suggest installing the official beta.

im using the official one , i can start the msn messenger 6.0 just fine , its just that right before i get signed in , it freezes.........and a friend told me the same happened to her too , she is windows ME user , and she got the official man messenger 6.0 and it did the same ......

Yes I get the exact same problems as Allen.
Infact the leaked version I had before worked fine until one day MSN Messenger asked me to install a newer version (The official MSN messenger Beta preview) and it was mandatory... I installed it anyhow and then I started facing Allen's problems...
Ive tried reinstalling whole of MSN to MSN6, Ive tried upgrading from MSN5..but it does not work

Hey Big Croc , in order 2 get msn 5.0 back , UNINSTALL , messenger 6.0 , then you can redownload msn 5.0 , then just install it , it worked for me

I just found out that alot of the windows ME users do have problems with the new msn messenger 6.0 PREVIEW version , for the people who have the problems i have had , i guess we should just wait for the OFFICIAL msn messenger 6.0 to come out and not the preview .....................

I have the MSN Messenger 6.0 Preview aswell. Although I sign in allrite I have trouble starting up games against people and so on. I believe the freezing problem could be down to the amount of memory available on your computer or the amount of bandwidth you are getting from your ISP. Try closing a few programs or download a memory free-er upper. Try starting messenger 6.0 and sign-in. Hope this helps!

i cant install MSN Messenger 5.0 again... i kept getting that "error 1603" after i downloaded that MSN Messenger 6.0 what do i do to get 5.0 again???

i am getting the exact same problem i have trid everything but it keeps freezing and MSN Messenger 5.0 is dl perfect but i guess we who have MSN 6.0 HAS TO WAIT UNTIL THE OFFICIAL MSN 6 comes out.

I dont know why ours dont work , i downloaded msn version 6.0 on my older brothers computer the other night , he has windows ME too , and it worked fine , i guess we will have to wait until the real one comes out like Lian said
