Comment:

Win ME/ Contol Panel/sytem/performance

C: drive is okay

F, G, H, are listed as "using MS_DOS compatability mode file system.

Reading the posts on this problem, someone suggested posting the autoexec file.

I formatted each of these drives.

Perhaps there is something in there that is causing the problem.

here's the autoexec.bat

SET windir=C:\WINDOWS
SET winbootdir=C:\WINDOWS
SET COMSPEC=C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND.COM
SET PATH=C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND

SET TEMP=C:\WINDOWS\TEMP
SET TMP=C:\WINDOWS\TEMP

Any thoughts, I'll appreciate.

George

Well, you fixed it.....
But anyway, you can delete all the entries you've made in the Autoexec.bat file because Windows ME doesn't process it during bootup. For more info on that subject, go here and scroll down to Windows ME Boot Time Improvements
