MS Word with dots between the words

Comment:
What is causing my Microsoft Word program to place dots between each word and sentences where there should be nothing but empty space? It sure makes it hard to read the things I type. I used MS Word program copied and paste here for you to see what I am talking about, but when I pasted it here they were gone. How do I get Microsoft Word program back to normal?

Never mind. I did a search and found the answer. This is what I did.
In MS Word, To turn it off look under Tools/Options/View/Formatting marks - make sure none are ticked
I sure would like to know how this got changed. No one here has changed it.
Thanks anyway

It sounds like you are on a network, or this is a business pc? College dorm?
Did you eat the last slice of cold pizza that wasn't yours? Leave a 1/16 of an inch of orange juice on the bottom of the carton in the fridge?
Sounds like someone pranked you, and, well, thank them for the tip on my (our) behalf.

lol. I am not on a network and never have been. I am a private at home computer user. I have had this computer for around 3 years now and no one has ever messed with the options settings in this program. I don't think that anyone was messing with me, lol. Thanks anyway.
