Comment:
Menu (file, edit etc) and all toolbars for MS Word 2000 have disappeared. Excel and Access etc are fine. I tried a repair using the Office CD and then also tried a reinstall - did not work. Please help.

Reply:
try this with Word closed: 1. open the registry using regedit.exe. 2. double click Hkey_current_user 3. double click software 4. double click microsoft 5. double click office 6. double click 9.0 7. delete the key "Word" (don't worry when you restart Word this key will be regenerated using defaults) 8. Close the registry 9. Open Microsoft Word from the shortcut don't double click a Word document.
Hope this helps.
