I have found mprexe.exe to be a virus file. My brother & I were playing with subseven, and this happened to me. Try running msconfig, click on the "startup" tab, and then look for that file - make sure it has NO check in the box, then reboot & see what you get.
Good Luck

Do one better..do a Find (start/find) for that file. Do the above (uncheck in msconfig), make a copy of the file if found in ur search onto a floppy (lable it possible virus), delete the puppy and empty ur recycle bin. Reboot. You may find l8r that U need the file for an app (doubt it tho, had it once myself). See if U can get a clean one from a manufacturer or explore the app's cd for it. Run ur virus scanner but realize they are always behind the times (cops vs robbers, radar detectors vs radar scenario).
