Mozilla Import of Bookmarks

I tried out the Mozilla browser (Firebird 7.0) and was wondering about the IE bookmarks. They are all mixed up. I went to manage bookmarks and did a sort there in ascending order and they looked good there but when I went to close they didn't change at all. I can cut and paste each one but that is very time consuming. Anyone know a fix for this?

I remember your browser questions from yesterday and my reply. Indeed, one of the annoyances with Firebird is the order in which your favorites/bookmarks are imported. I had the same problem.
I cured it with a small utility which does nothing but import bookmarks from one browser to another (IE, Firebird, Opera, etc.)
I don't have the utility anymore, but I'll do a search. If I don't post back, I didn't have any luck..

No luck finding the utility. However, while searching, I ran across a site which mentioned using the import/export wizard contained in Internet Explorer. Forgot about that! 8-)
In IE, click on FILE, click on IMPORT/EXPORT, and the wizard will come up on screen. Follow the prompts.
To be on the safe side, you probably should make a copy of your Favorites file (either to the desktop or My Documents) so there's no chance of losing them.
