I wish to move the slave harddrive from my old pc to the slave harddrive slot on my new pc. Can I physically move it, use autodetect? and then will I be able to use the software programs that are installed on it?
Or do I have to move the programs off the harddrive first? Thanks!!

You can move it and use autodetect. Any windows program on it will have to be reinstalled to set up registry entries, shortcuts and any other file that the program places in your Windows directory.

Reinstalling the windows program would wipe out the old database files on the slave diskdrive? So it looks like I have to move my programs first off the old slave harddrive before using autodetect? Thanks for your help... Joe in chilly mpls

I don't think there is any problem moving the hard drive over at all. You won't be able to use the programs on it unless you reinstall them in Windows ME--unless the Master drive was moved over also. What I mean is when you save your programs does not matter as long as it is before you reinstall, and I actually fail to see why windows ME would destroy data anyway.
