Hey,
about a month ago the mouse and keyboard starting freezing on me for no reason and i would have to restart. This got really annoying so i reinstalled windows but that didnt help.
Any suggestions on what to do would be awesome.
Thanks!

I doubt there is anything wrong with the mouse or keyboard, so it has to be the system hardware or some of the back-level device drivers or applications you have installed.
Check through page for the most common causes and links to help find and fix the problem(s).

release, SWAG, may not be your problem at all, ME is famous for poor memory management and since your's seems to be O.K. for a while, it kinda soubds like that might apply. Take a look at 'Trev's Tweaks...' at: http://www.burzurq.com/forum/trevtweak.html
paying attention to hints on memory management and see if that helps. It SURE helped me! ???

If you've reinstalled and still having a problem then it's a hardware issue. I recently had a system with similar symptoms. The keyboard would occasionally stop responding. All three LEDs would come on and nothing but a shut down and reboot would work. After about three weeks of this the powersupply blew and it took out the motherboard, cpu,and graphics card. I recommend you get your powersupply checked.

release,
I had the exact problem for a few weeks and it went away for a few weeks, came back and this time the rear light on my MS Intellimouse Explorer Optical was dim. I reconnected it to a USB hookup and no light at all. put in an old mouse which worked fine. Went out and bought a Logitech cordless
MX700 and all is fine now.
Try the simple things first, another mouse and even another keyboard. Most of us have old ones lying around anyway.
Wish you luck in that it would be, like me, a simple thing.

Richard59,
i dont think its the power supply. That had just been replaced earlier this year..
Ill try using a different mouse and see if that helps..

I'm no expert, but the same thing used to happen to me. I learned that all programs were loading at startup, so now I start up with only *StateMgr checked.
